Skagit Public Utility District declares emergency over broken water pump

Jul 09, 2023Jul 09, 2023

The Skagit Public Utility District Board of Commissioners declared an emergency Tuesday in response to a broken water pump at Judy Reservoir, and approved a plan to fix it.

Until the district is able to replace a failed transformer and bring the pump back online, the PUD won’t be able to pump water from the Skagit River into the reservoir.
